How To Join

Candidates may be submitted for membership according to the By-laws Article IV Members Section 2 A and B Election to Membership (revised January 2008) which states:

• A woman shall be eligible for membership who is at least twenty-two (22) at the time her name is proposed, and is a current resident of St. Clair County, Illinois.  Proposing member’s petitions shall be accepted up to one week before the September Meeting and on or before the August Board of Directors meeting by the First Vice-President who shall record the names. The proposing member shall invite the candidate to the September meeting where all proposing member names and their proposed provisional member ’s names shall be read.    
• Any member may propose candidates for membership.
• Immediately following the September meeting, the President shall send an invitation for membership to each candidate accompanied by full written information concerning the requirements for Active membership.  Those accepting shall be designated as Provisional Members.  Their names shall be presented to the Board of Directors at its September Boardmeeting.
